Student Stories

The time I spent in China in Autumn 2006 was instrumental in reforming my worldview. I've come to understand the world as more complex, more interconnected, and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

From Shanghai's Nanjing Road to Shangri-la's mountainous plains ... there was never enough time to see and do it all! After having listened to my grandfather tell stories about his childhood in Shanghai, traveling and studying in China was more than just a cultural experience; it was an opportunity for me to more clearly identify the aspects of our human experience we all find so common (hard work, aspirations, livelihood) — despite which country or continent we call "home."
