BUSINESS SEMINAR

BUS 3830: International Business Seminar (3 credits)

This summer course will be taught by an SPU faculty member in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing for students who are part of the School of Business and Economics pre-term session. The course will cover current topics in international business; the specific topics will vary from year to year.


SICHUAN UNIVERSITY PROGRAM

Sichuan University developed the Center of China Studies to specifically address the needs of international students who wish to learn about Chinese language and culture. This program offers a range of courses to meet the needs of students from a variety of academic areas and requires no prior language study. Students must take one course in Mandarin.

Actual courses offered vary each term depending on student demand.

An intensive, language-only program is available, with 20 hours of language instruction per week covering vocabulary, grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening. This program is designed for individuals who plan to become fluent in Chinese and can accommodate students from beginner to advanced level.

Students typically enroll in 3-4 courses, totaling 18-24 quarter credits. Credits will transfer on a Sichuan University transcript.
