Student Stories

“As cliche as it sounds, there is no better way to describe the Galapagos and Belize study abroad trips than as the chance of a lifetime! I am a biology major, and I have always loved nature, and both of these trips definitely intensified my appreciation for the environment and for the beauty of God’s creation.

Belize was an unforgettable adventure. There is no better way to learn about the marine environment than from underwater! We spent many hours snorkeling and diving through the coral reefs and were amazed by the extraordinary life that surrounded us and the intricate details involved in a reef ecosystem. It also did not hurt to have a palm tree-covered sandy island all to ourselves!  My trips to the Galapagos Islands and to Belize are two of the most amazing things I have done in my life. I believe that it would be impossible for anyone, biology major or not, to walk away untouched from one of these trips after witnessing such spectacular treasures of nature.”
