SPU-Affiliated Study Abroad Programs
Application details for each of the SPU-affiliated study abroad programs are found under Apply/Deadlines with each location, and under Affiliated Programs.
Applying for Non-SPU Affiliated Study Abroad Programs
Students must submit two applications when applying for a non-SPU affiliated study abroad program:
- The Application for Leave of Absence-Studying Away (PDF)
- The Program Application with the individual provider
Step One:
- All students planning to study abroad must submit a completed approval application to Ben Weins (benweins@spu.edu) (last names A-K) or Debbie Crouch (dcrouch@spu.edu) (last names L-Z) in Student Academic Services (Demaray Hall, Room 120) by 4:30 p.m. the day of the deadline and prior to enrollment in a program.
Step Two:
- Students applying to a third-party program must submit a completed application directly to the study-abroad program, and keep their academic counselor informed of their application progress.
Application Deadlines
There are two application deadlines: the deadline for the Application for Leave of Absence and the Program Application.
Unless the program deadline is earlier, the deadlines for the Application for Leave of Absence-Studying Abroad (PDF) are as follows:
| Autumn Quarter (August or September start-date) | April 15 |
| Full Year (a full academic year) | April 15 |
| Summer Term | April 15 |
| Winter or Spring Quarter (January or March/April start-date) | November 15 |
