EGR 1502: Machining and Fabricating
Prerequisite: EGR 1501. This course will instruct in principles of machining, metal cutting, and fabrication using modern machine tools, hand tools and precision measuring instruments. It will include instruction in common machine tools such as drilling machines, lathes, and milling machines and metal fabrication by sheet metal work and welding (MIG). Emphasis will be placed on safe operation of tools, work planning, part design for manufacturability, and use of CAD tools for part layout in preparation for manufacturing.
