NUR 6970: Research in Nurs:Methods & App
This course provides a foundation of research concepts to generate research and utilize data to improve practice and care decision-making. Various methodologies and mechanisms of interpreting data in both the qualitative and quantitative research trajectories are analyzed. This course integrates theoretical and practice guidelines to examine evidence-based practice. Students generate and differentiate between answerable research questions, systematic review of research evidence, critique strategies, and appraisal of reliability, validity, and applicability to a specific nursing or health problem or specific patient population. This course provides the required foundation for student work on a clinical scholarly project (capstone).
