The SPU Tent City 3 Host Committee is sponsoring a series of community education forums around the topic of homelessness. The next event is a community discussion titled “Homeless Heroes: Veterans and Homelessness” on Thursday, November 13, 11:10-12:30 p.m. in Demaray Hall 150.
Representatives from Seattle Stand Down, whose mission is to aggressively prevent and eliminate homelessness among veterans, will participate in the event. Seattle Stand Down Program Director Rebecca Murch, Services Section Leader Jaime Yslas, and formerly homeless veteran David Blais will speak during the panel discussion and the Q&A session.
