Revelation in the Present Tense

Reading Revelation as Scripture requires us to read it in the present tense — God's word for God's people. The annual Paul T. Walls Lecture in Wesleyan Theology on Wednesday, May 7, 7 p.m. in First Free Methodist Church offers a "present-tense" reading of Revelation 13 — John's vision of the slugfest between the two beasts and faithful followers of the Lamb.

Presenting the lecture will be Robert Wall, the SPU Paul T. Walls Professor of Scripture and Wesleyan Studies. Responding to the lecture will be Rev. Blake Wood, senior pastor at First Free Methodist Church.

The event is free and wheelchair accessible. To request disability accommodation, contact 206-281-2272, TTY 206-281-2224, or dss@spu.edu.
