Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, May 4, in memory of U.S. Army Captain Aaron Blanchard of Selah, Washington. Blanchard, a 32-year-old Army helicopter pilot, was killed April 23 in Afghanistan.
