Governor Chris Gregoire has directed Washington State and United States flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in memory of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Matthew H. Stiltz, 26, of Spokane, Washington. He died November 12 in Afghanistan of injuries he sustained when his unit was attacked by insurgents.
