A flag retirement and remembrance ceremony will be held at the flag pole in Tiffany Loop on Tuesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. to honor Memorial Day. This event is sponsored by the Veteran and Military Support Cadre, and features faculty, staff, and student veterans retiring SPU’s current U.S. flag and raising a new one. SPU students and alumni killed in the line of duty since World War II will be remembered. Nic Madrazo ’08, who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, will also be honored. All are welcome to attend.
