“What Homeless People Want”

A panel of Tent City 3 residents will speak in a special forum titled, “What Homeless People Want,” on Wednesday, March 7, at 7 p.m. in Weter Lounge on the Seattle Pacific University campus. They will share their views on homelessness in Seattle, offer proposals on solutions, and talk about the next practical steps.

Tent City 3, a portable, self-managed community of homeless people, is currently located on SPU’s Wallace Field. This is the first time SPU has hosted a homeless encampment.

Accommodating Tent City 3 is a concrete manifestation of SPU’s mission to engage the culture and change the world. It provides the SPU community a rare opportunity to not only assist the unhoused men and women, but to learn from them.

This event is free and open to the public.
