SPU Student Callers Set New Records

Through a wide variety of financial gifts, alumni and friends of SPU continued to show support for students who will carry out the University’s mission of cultural engagement.

Student callers set new records in fundraising in 2009–10, including senior Kimberly Kruse who had raised nearly $100,000 for The University Fund before she graduated this year. And, for the first time, the student team called a select group of SPU supporters to ask for bequests to the University. The effort inspired 18 new gifts of sizable amounts and more than 80 inquiries for bequest and estate-planning information.
