Chamber Singers

Chamber Singers is a group of singers who desire an experience in smaller-scale choral literature. Its 16–18 members are selected from the Concert Choir. The ensemble strives to perform a variety of literature from all eras, sacred and secular, performing in concerts and at high ceremonies each quarter, as well as annually at the highly acclaimed Sacred Sounds of Christmas — an Advent and Christmas celebration in downtown Seattle that showcases the students in many of Seattle Pacific's ensembles.

As a member of Chamber Singers, you will have a unique environment for vocal, spiritual, and leadership development within a small ensemble. The Chamber Singers have performed music by Gabrielli, Byrd, Brahms, Schumann, Debussy, Walton, Stravinsky, and many others, as well as 19th-century popular song and a variety of folk music from many countries.

Membership

Membership in Chamber Singers is open to Music majors, Music minors, and nonmajors, and is by audition. Members of Chamber Singers are also members of Concert Choir. Auditions are held at the beginning of Autumn Quarter (notices to be posted in the lobby of Crawford Music Building prior to the beginning of the quarter).
