Phyllis Campbell is the Chairman, Pacific Northwest for JPMorgan Chase & Co. She serves on the Executive Committee and is the firm’s senior executive in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho across businesses, representing JPMorgan Chase & Co. at the most senior level to clients. 

Previously, Phyllis was the President/CEO of The Seattle Foundation, the largest community foundation in Washington, with nearly $600 million in charitable assets. Prior to that, Phyllis served as President and CEO of U.S. Bank of Washington.

Phyllis holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington's Executive MBA Program, a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, as well as, Stanford University’s Executive Management Program. Phyllis also holds honorary doctorates from Whitworth University and Gonzaga University.

Phyllis has devoted her time, energy, and expertise to countless civic activities with a focus on education and human services issues. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Seattle University. She has also chaired the boards of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Washington Business. She currently serves on the boards of Alaska Air Group, Nordstrom and Initiative for Global Development. She also serves on the Diversity Advisory Board for Toyota, North America. Phyllis has received many prestigious awards for her community service work, including the Woman Who Makes a Difference Award from the International Women’s Forum. In 2010, she received the Top Women in Finance Award from Women of Color Magazine. In 2006, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from City Year. She also received the Corporate Director of the Year Award from the Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Phyllis was also awarded the 36th Regents' Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2006 from Washington State University.


THE AWB DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES brings a prominent national or regional business leader to the Seattle Pacific University School of Business and Economics each year. Decision makers, risk takers, and leaders of the regional and national corporate world share their personal experiences and philosophies with students through this program. Students and faculty receive real-world insight into the issues they regularly explore in the classroom.
