Email Password
You access your email account by using your SPU Username
and password. The SPU Username and password is the one
credential that ties together many online resources,
including: email, Blackboard, NetStore, Network Login
(CCA), WebSpace, Departmental Shares, desktop/office/lab
computers and the SPU-Wireless network.
How To
Work with your email password
The email password is part of your SPU Username credentials.
You can work to obtain, reset and change these from
within the Banner Computer Management Resources menu.
Your technology accounts represent "you" on our network. Do not share them or give them out to others.
Common Problems
If you type the incorrect SPU Username password five times in a row,
your account will freeze for 30 minutes. Either wait 30
minutes and try again or contact the CIS HelpDesk (during
business hours) to have the 30 minute time-out overridden.
Many keyboards have [Caps Lock] and
[Num Lock] keys. If either of these are set
on, the keyboard keys may be triggering an alternate function
(a capital letter or number) where you did not intend
it. Make sure the caps lock and num lock are turned off.
These passwords are case sensitive.
Email applications on your computer can be configured
to talk to our email server in different ways. Double
check our Email Client Configuration page if you are having
trouble getting your software to work.
