Webmail (also known as "Outlook Web Access") is available on any computer with an Internet connection and web browser. Webmail works with all current web browsers; Microsoft's Internet Explorer (ver 6 or later) will provide the best user experience and most features. If Webmail does not have the features desired, Microsoft Outlook is our recommended email client software.
The recommended configurations below will work on-and off-campus. We provide step-by-step instructions on how to set up your account.
SPU does not take responsibility for each individual's software application that is used to check their SPU email account. For email settings related to IMAPS or SMTPS, please see Email Advanced Features.

Many computer users use email applications such as Outlook to check multiple accounts. Settings for these email accounts may conflict with SPU email settings. Following instuctions from other email providers may break your access to SPU until corrected. We can support configuration for SPU accounts but are not able to troubleshoot other email configurations.
There are many different versions of Microsoft Outlook software (Outlook Express, Outlook 2000 or XP, etc.). These instructions require Outlook 2010 (which is part of Office 2010) or Outlook 2007 (which is part of Office 2007) with all Office and Windows service packs installed.
