SPU named a Best National University

For the eighth year in a row, Seattle Pacific has been named a “Best National University” in U.S. News & World Report’s best college annual rankings for 2024. U.S. News defines national universities as those institutions offering a full range of undergraduate majors plus master's and doctoral programs and committed to producing groundbreaking research.

Seattle Pacific also received high rankings in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

SPU’s eligibility in the national university category is due to the growth in the institution’s graduate and doctoral programs. Some new programs include master of science in research psychology and a master of arts in theology-Christian ministry and an undergraduate degree in early childhood education.

Recent research by Professor of Biology Cara Wall-Scheffler and several students giving global and historical evidence that women participated and continue to participate in subsistence hunting as much as men was featured in dozens of major national and international media outlets.
